The city of Lewisville is ideally located just ten minutes from the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Dallas. Although it borders a major city, Lewisville carefully maintains its small town charm. Known for its recreational opportunities, outstanding shopping and cultural events, Lewisville has plenty to offer travelers throughout the year. The 23,000 acre Lake Lewisville borders the city and is a perfect place to fish, picnic and just enjoy the lakeside beaches. For those who enjoy shopping, Lewisville is home to the 160-shop Vista Ridge Mall and Old Town Lewisville is known for its incredible antique shops, not to mention the myriad of restaurants that the area boasts. Every year during the Labor Day weekend Lewisville hosts Western Days, a celebration of the area's rich history. Festival events include a dominoes contest, live music, a parade and the three-day Labor Day Rodeo.
